Space available at upcoming Abstraction by Design Workshops
I’m looking forward to some wonderful Abstraction by Design workshops scheduled for the upcoming spring and summer season.
In early May I will be heading to beautiful British Columbia to teach an Abstraction by Design Masterclass at Vancouver Island Art Workshops from May 8-May 12. . This will be my fifth time hosting a workshop with Vancouver Island Art. My AbD Workshops at Vancouver Island require commitment and focus from both students and teacher. As always, this will be an intensely creative and productive five days. I can’t wait to explore use of texture, color choice, value, surface manipulation, and visual balance with students, and to see all of the resulting works. Limited space is still available -if you are interested, now is the time to register!
Later in June I will travel to the historic city of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico to lead a five day immersive Abstraction by Design destination workshop in partnership with Jen Tough Gallery, from June 23-29. San Miguel de Allende is an international arts destination, and home to a thriving arts scene. We’ll be taking over a small boutique hotel at the heart of the city, that will provide both accommodations and studio space. This will be my first visit to the city, and I can’t think of a better environment to inspire art making. I’m looking forward to exploring the local culture with students, and drawing influence and inspiration for our work. Only a few openings remain - register now to reserve your space.
I will also be teaching several other Abstraction by Design workshops over the coming months. You can find a full listing of upcoming workshops along with registration details on my events page.
